Biography

Dr. Datta received his Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of California, Berkeley, under the supervision of Prof. Charles Van Loan. His doctoral research focused on numerical methods for eigenvalue problems, which laid the foundation for his extensive work in computational mathematics and control systems.

Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Datta has held visiting positions at prestigious institutions including the University of California, Berkeley, Stanford University, and the University of Manchester. He has served as a consultant for major corporations and government agencies.
